The point I'm trying to make is bugs in a close source program are flaws any way you look at them. Bugs in open source software are flaws yes, but bugs are what creates a tight knit developer community which allows a project to accelerate (and reduce bugs in the long run). I don't think the average user, that wants to set-up a forum or a weblog, is going to care to be invested in learning PHP to fix an issue that prevents them from doing something that they want -- they'll find something else that does it.
