The point I&#039;m trying to make is bugs in a close source program are flaws any way you look at them. Bugs in open source software are flaws yes, but bugs are what creates a tight knit developer community which allows a project to accelerate (and reduce bugs in the long run).</description>

		<description>I think the more common result from bugs is that they end up pissing off average end-users who will just go find an alternative that works. I don&#039;t think the average user, that wants to set-up a forum or a weblog, is going to care to be invested in learning PHP to fix an issue that prevents them from doing something that they want -- they&#039;ll find something else that does it.

A few exceptions to the rule does not change this fact.</description>
